Housekeeping:  I have a feeling that neither of you completed the summer assignment, and if you didn't, that's ok.  We have about four or five class periods to complete this chapter, so it will require you doing a lot of outside reading and problem solving.  I plan to test over this chapter next week, so don't be surprised.  We have A LOT to cover before winter break.

2. Discussion and problem solving

Lesson Objectives:  You should be able to:
1.  Define "equilibrium state" and "equilibrium law."
2.  Interpret equilibrium graphs.
3.  Distinguish between static and dynamic equilibrium.
4.  Define and write an equilibrium constant expression.

Mission 1: What is Equilibrium?  Mr. Thornley gets hands on.

Mission 2: The Equilibrium Constant.
Mission 3: Le Chatelier's Principle.
Homework:  We will work problems out of the textbook and packet.
