Simple Machines Silent Mission
I am going to create a Google Doc named “G8 Simple Machines Gallery.”
You and two others will be assigned a simple machine (see below). On Monday, you will “teach” your classmates all about your machine using your table and any other resources you need. Make sure you are as thorough as possible. Your classmates need to know how the machines work and how to calculate mechanical advantage.
After your “lesson” is complete, you will rotate stations and learn about the other simple machines. You will be given sticky notes where you will ask questions about the machine you’re currently investigating. Write your question(s) on your sticky notes and leave it on the table. You will do this for every station.
After the rotations are done, you will go back to your original station and answer the questions left on your table. You will put ALL of your information into the Google Doc in your ASSIGNED spot and make sure you include the questions that were left, and the answers to the questions.
At the end of the period, the entire class should have a complete simple machines lesson and study guide.
Group members are non-negotiable.
